Where exactly do you apply eyeshadow?

Do you apply it a little below the eyebrows? Or right on you eye LID?Where exactly do you apply eyeshadow?
Right on your eye lid.

Remember, always use colors great for your skin tones, and dont wear too bright of colors.Where exactly do you apply eyeshadow?
It depends on what you want it to look like, if you aren't very good at doing makeup, you might want to just color your eyelid for a start. Or have someone who does show you the different ways to do your makeup. It looks kinda trashy doing it right under the eyebrow if you do it the wrong way, but maybe you're a natural at not sucking at makeup, and if so, more power to you I guess...
Gee, I dunno. Maybe on your eyelid? But I could be wrong, maybe you should put it on your teeth...
For a simple thing- just on the lid-easy, just sweep it across, u can add more layers if u want it to stand out more.

If u wanna go for sumthing more dramatic then u can use it under ur eyebrow, from lashes to brow, but mainly lighter colours, it's good when u do a smokey eye.
on the eye lid...but u can mix it up a little if you know what you're doing.
Normally on your eyelid. But you can put the highlights (the really light colors like white etc..) below your eyebrow. :)

Right on the lid just below the crease...for everyday get the heck outta the house but want some color on my face :) A color that compliments your skin tone and is appropriate for where you are going...plus I use a cotton ball or blending brush to blend it a little just so it doesn't have a definitive stop line.

With a few extra minutes.....I use two or three colors...always complimentary to one another...and always light/natural/neutral. I want you to see my eyes...not my shadow! I use a light color....champagne something pretty light and cover my whole eyelid ... eyebrow to eyelash :) I then use the next darkest of the three for just my eyelid. And then lightly sweep the darkest of the three in the crease. Using a cotton ball or blending brush to let them all blend from one to another without stop lines.

Takes practice to see what works for you....get lots of tips for free at the cosmetics counter at your department stores. Just don't necessarily buy everything or anything...just get the tips. Bring a trusted friend who will tell you the truth about what colors you look good in. Asking the person trying to sell you something doesn't always get the most honest response ;)

Be sure to practice several techniques at home on a boring evening....cause I will tell you from experience. Nothing is worse than getting dressed for work or a night out....and trying out some new colors or new eyeshadow technique and its awful and you have to wash your whole face off and do a do over ;)

Most of all.....Make up should play up your features...never become your features. I am almost 40 (OMG!) and have yet to meet a man who has said....wow I really love it when girls cake on their make up :) Its us gals who seem to think its attractive...not the men!
on the lid
the way i wear mine at the moment is a tiny bit of a pale gold-nude colour just below my brows, blended down to a grey-brown fairly pale 'shadowy' colour which i wear all over my eye lid and i use a tiny little brush (u could use a lip brush) to put the darkest brown eyeshadow powder i have in a thin line at the base of my eyelashes, instead of kohl or liquid eyeliner.

remember to use mascara aswell, if you go for bright colours of eyeshadow your eyes can get 'lost' in all the color, so a couple of coats of dramatic black mascara is essential to open up your eyes and make them stand out!!

any advice on colours, just ask me :) good luck xxx
It depends on what looks good with you, and the color of your eyeshadow. It can be applied to a variety of places, like up to your eyebrows, on your lid, a bit below your lash line, your lash line, the inner corners of your eyes, the outer corners, etc. Just experiment a bit and find out whats good for you, :).
