Try to use your fingertips instead of a brush, You won't over do it this way, It works for me.
VERY LIGHTLY, it also depends on how you want it to look that day. If it's a dark eyeshadow and u have light skin, apply a lot and vice versa. hope i helped. bye.
okay three colors start at the tip of the eye you would put the darkess color there then work out with the middle color and the light color would go the back of the eye next to the eye brow.

How to apply eyeshadow ?

i want to start wearing eyeshadow.

my cousin will sometimes do it for me but i want to learn how to do it myself. I have hazel eyes. what colors should I use and how do i begin ?How to apply eyeshadow ?
1) prime your eyes with a primer (if you don't have one, skip this step)

2) put a neutral shade on your lid

3) put a slightly darker shade in your crease

4) put your darkest shade on the outer corner

5) line your eyes

6) add highlight to your inner corners

I would suggest forest greens, browns, and sapphires. How to apply eyeshadow ?
get NYC palettes that label where the eyeshadows go (crease, corner, all over lid, etc) there is a diagram on the back too.

Also, Physician's formula has these eyeshadow shimmer palettes and the colors are picked specifically for different eye colors, they work really well.

I could try and type out how to do it here and you oculd try and figure out what i mean but it'd be easier if you just watched youtube tutorials. Good luck :)

How do i apply like eyeshadow on GIMP?

i have seen videos like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl5rMMzcLkE%26amp;feature=related but i don't understand how can someone explain it to meHow do i apply like eyeshadow on GIMP?
Eye shadow on the GIMP, huh? Well, there are quite a few ways really, but most of them require the layers panel. How I did it before was that I downloaded some eyeshadow brushes on DeviantArt. After I installed them, I opened up a new transparent layer set on the mode MULTIPLY, and started toy around on making the eyeshadow fit. You don't really need the special brushes, but the transparent multiply layer is essential! The soft blur tool will also help if you want to make it look a bit blended with the skin.

I couldn't understand you question very well, but I hope I could be of some help!

Okay, I would like to know how to apply eyeshadow because I suck.?

I have blue eyes and I would like colors that would make them pop! But some useful techniques to applying it would help SO much! Thanks!Okay, I would like to know how to apply eyeshadow because I suck.?
Well it depends on your eyes but I'll tell you how to put on makeup with normal oval eyes.

You take the outside of your eyes and pull them outward where you lid we'll lay smooth take the applicator and brush it over the shadow and then tap it lightly on the color to get access off then take the wand and start on the inner by your noise and lay the wand flat with color and pull it across the lid and do this till it cover the whole lid, To make you eyes pop you use dark on bottom then light then lighter on top or light then dark then light, or you can use light and take a dark color and go in1/4 in the end of eye and make a backward c to your brow. repeat doing the same thing on the other eye

you can get combinations eye shadows from Avon with 2 or 3 color.

then pull your eye the same way to apply liner and at the end smug your end alittle and do the other side

hope this helps if you need more help email me

Beth :) :)Okay, I would like to know how to apply eyeshadow because I suck.?
Depending on what color hair you have and skin color would help because brunettes can where alot more shades than blondes. I am blonde and have hazel eyes and I use light tan eyeshadow on my lids and darker brown trimming the eyelid slightly not all the way to the eyebrow. A little eyeliner (black to bring the eyes out and mascara) and your ready to roll. Cover Girl sells metallic eyeshadows that are great. If your are brunette you can where dark colors and your lids and a compimentary lighter color over the lid just trimming the lid. You don't need alot to look great!
Greys and metallic silvers compliment blue eyes really really well (i have blue eyes too). Try a metallic silver eyeliner on the inner corners of your eyes.

Before applying any eyeshadow, make sure you apply a base (use either concealer of a skin-coloured eyeshadow).

I use Revlons Molten Metal eyeshadow in the silver on my brow bone, and it looks gorgeous.
ok pink or beige makes your eyes look cool, but any color it doesn't matter just use like a light brown in the crease( wear the eye stop and the eyebrow bone begins)

ok people say that it doesn't matter what brush you use but it does there are lid brushes and crease brushes and brow brushes now that can be expensive so to get the best use get a crease brush they can do pretty much anything since there fluffy

ok so take the brush and get the eyeshadow all over the brush then lightly blow on the brush to remove exses

start by applying from the corner near your nose outward then repeat if you go in a million diff directions it looks weird so then apply like a beige or a light neutral to the eyelid then take a light brown and but right in the crease between your eyelid and bone

now to make your eyes pop you should take neutral colors (regardless of what people say bright blues and everything doesn't make your eyes pop it take attention away from them)

so take the color u want and start again from the nose corner to the other side covering all the space between eyebrow and eyelid

now in the end it doesn't really matter what color you use jsu don't put blue on you bone us that looks trashy

and if you want just do the 3 tone

starting at nose take lightest color and put on lid to 1/3

then repeat with 2nd color until done with 3rd this will make the eye look bigger and longer

and eyeliner helps too

just take either black liner or eyeshadow if you use eyeshadow but it on the brush blow on it then drag from nose to end of eye on outer rime of eye then apply light liner to watermark (inside or eye) if your using liner just do quick lines all across the eye (bottom ) but make sure it's straight then smudge lightly with finger

if your patient i'll put a video on in a couple days that will explain everything thx

pece hope it helps
Some colours that are good for blue eyed people are dusty pinks and purples, greys and browns. Always do outward strokes with and eyeshadow brush or if you dont have one just use your fingers. If you wanna smudgy look put a bit more on than you usually would and then do messy back and forth strokes using two fingers. I hope i helped!!!

:) :) :)
browns and golds make sure to use a good brush so the powder doesnt go everywhere you dont want it and some brown liner and use black liner on the inside upper lid right in your lash line i also have blue eyes
Brown eyeshadow can make them pop....

how to apply:

get your brush or swab

eyeshadow

smear it all over your eyelids in all directions liberally. apply more if needed.
Warm browns and brown-golds make blue eyes pop! As for application, good luck!

Apply eyeliner along the countour of your eye. You really do not need a crease to do this. Just apply a line directly behind the eyelashes as close to the base as possible. For shadow, create your own crease. Feel your eyelids for your eyeball underneath. About half way up is where your crease would lay, so you can use that as a rough guide. Apply darker colors from the lashes to the make shift crease, a medium color above up to the brow and a highlight color along the brow under the eyebrow and on the inner part of the eyelid. I have non creased eyes and i have no idea how i can apply eyeliner and eyeshadow to make it look great! help!?
do you mean, creaseless as in monolid asian eyes?

I have those too. I usually make a fold in them with eye glue, but if you don't want to, here's what i recommend.

eyeliner: mostly, you want to just apply a thicker line than usual, but smudge it out. apply above your lash line, and go over it with dark shadow to set it and smokey the look. you won't be able to see it in the mirror, but when you relax your eyes or look down, there it will be.

shadow: apply in a sideways ';v'; shape, closed end pointing outwards, on the outer corners of your eyes. this will elongate your eye and accentuate the natural shape of your eye. darker colors go on the outer corner, light ones on the inner to open up your eyes.

try using a white eyeliner on your waterline to open up your eyes, or, just dust a light eyeshadow over your inner corners and inner tearduct area to brighten up your eyes.

if you were just talking about crease as in socket line...............%26gt;.%26gt;;;;; sorry about all that.

(if you were really talking about a socket line, then you don't need to worry. liner and shadow can also be applied basically the same way as i described above. )

=) hope i helped.

Best way to apply eyeshadow? ?

I want to know how to to apply eyeshadow, nothing fancy.

ThanksBest way to apply eyeshadow? ?
use one base colour: white with a brush. Apply up just underneath eyebrows.

then use a smaller, neat eyeshadow brush to apply a medium colour, like brown or something neutral if you are testing out.

Put it on your eyelid, sweep it across and blend with your finger.

If you want to go a little bit more out there, apply (with a thinner brush) a darker colour along the crease of the eyelid and on the outer corners of the eye in a v-shape.

look up on google images for celebrity makeup and have a look at the picture of what you want, which should guide you aswel. Just remember to blend.Best way to apply eyeshadow? ?
The crease in your eyelid is sort of the line of no return. You normally apply a really light skin toned shadow over you whole eyelid, an then the colour you want below the crease and above the eyelashes, So that its only a faint colour. You can sometimes add a darker shade in the corner closest to your nose for some effects.

Like Dark brown, fading into a bronze....

Helpful??

see the link below and be sure to have a good primer like MAC's painterly paint pot or Urban Decay's primer potion (which happens to be on sale at Ulta this week for members only).
If there is a particular colour you like type in youtube for example ';purple smokey eyes'; or ';how to apply eyeshadow'; tutorial videos will be displayed.

Use a square cut eyeshadow brush with a full head. There are good ones available from eyeslipsface.com and they're really cheap, about a dollar each. Use this brush to put your shadow all over your eyelid until the crease.
shadow brushes, i get mine from eyeslipsface.com, they're only $1 and they're great. you should also use a primer, i would recommend urban decay primer potion or too faced shadow insurance.
on your eyes
use ur fingers! its easier, cheaper and u can do any effect.

Use a light to medium colour all over the lid, use a darker colour in the crease then use an even darker shade of brown in the outer corner of your eye then bleeend and add the lightest colour under the eyebrow sweeping it down to meet the other colours. How do i apply eyeshadow with these colors?
start out with the lightest color towards your brow and gradually get darker as you get farther down your lid towards your eyelashes
eyeliner, light color, medium color, dark color not above the crease of the eye

Can anyone tell me how to apply eyeshadow properly, Everytime i try i end up looking like i have been thumped!

first start with a light shimmery color. light creams or pinks are a great start. go from lash line to brow w this. than take another color, a shade darker and put this on your lid. from corner to corner. third take a shade darker color and rub slowly in the crease. (the line when you blink) always always tap your brush/spunge to get rid of excess powder. And BLEND! its easier to add color to your eye than take away. when doin three shades, make sure they are all colors that work well. or in the same family of color. covergirl and all other brands make great color packs in threes. if your using eyeliner, it's best to start off with brown. this is more forgiving than black. i love Rimmel liners, they stay in place well, and blend if you want the smoky look. and for the price you really cant beat it! good luckCan anyone tell me how to apply eyeshadow properly, Everytime i try i end up looking like i have been thumped!

Well, you are probably using a really dark color. which is more challenging to apply, because mistakes are so noticeable. just lightly brush the eyeshadow on from your tear-duct to the outside of your eye (don't get it inside the tear-duct). and keep it on the eyelid; and if you want to put it underneath as well, use a thin brush.

How do u apply eyeshadow pigments the pigment comes in the form of a powder mac has themand now loreal has?

themHow do u apply eyeshadow pigments the pigment comes in the form of a powder mac has themand now loreal has?
Use all natural hair makeup brushes. Big fluffy brushes are great and always make a big difference.

But remember to keep them washed with shampoo frequently and then shake out good and stand to dry.

They'll last forever if you get good ones. How do u apply eyeshadow pigments the pigment comes in the form of a powder mac has themand now loreal has?
You need to buy make-up brushes to apply these. And be sure to wash and disinfect them properly. Although you can find cheap brushes, more expensive ones are best since they are made of more quality materials.

Should i apply fake lashes before or after my eyeshadow?

my eyeshadow is black so i don't think it will make a difference on how it looks but i'm unsure.Should i apply fake lashes before or after my eyeshadow?
before.Should i apply fake lashes before or after my eyeshadow?
Put the eyelashes on than the eyeshadow. Eyelashes may take a few tries to get on correcly and if you mess up and already have your eyeshadow on you may get glue on your eyelids or smudge the eye makeup. Putting the eyelashes on first than the eyeshadow will make it look more natural anyhow.
you shoulld, put lashes after the eyeshadow because, if u put the lashes first then it ill be harder to put the eyeshadow, so you should put youre eyeshadow first then ur false lashes

    hope i helped
you should apply them before the eyeshadow so the glue can settle then i would put on the shadow, liner to blend and mascara to mesh your fake lashes with your real ones

After. You don't want the particles from the shadow to get all in the lashes.
    Absolutely apply the eyelashes first!
I want to know to but i'd think you'd put them on before like your real ones but shadow will fall down on them so i think after will be best
Afterr because that way it wont get eyeshadow all over them. Trust me. I ts happened to me before.
After, otherwise they get in your way of doing the rest of your makeup.
I always apply false lashes last - other wise they get in your way !!!!!
    of course after

  • Is there anything I can apply to my eyes before hand in order to make eyeshadow color appear darker/intense?

I usually use Mac but I bought this particular color and I really want it to show up on my eyes, darker and more true to the color it appears in the package. Also, I am a dark skinned woman of color. Any tips are appreciated. Is there anything I can apply to my eyes before hand in order to make eyeshadow color appear darker/intense?
Put foundation on first, then let dry thoroughly and then apply eyeshadow, it works for me. Sometimes I do this and put on my regular shadow color and then apply a black shadow to the outer eye lid and then go slightly up, and then use a qtip to blend, it won't hurt to try, it took me a few times of experimenting to get it just right. Is there anything I can apply to my eyes before hand in order to make eyeshadow color appear darker/intense?
mix it with another darker color and then apply it -- kind of like you would mix paint before putting it on a painting.
put eye liner in the crease(fold of eye lid) of the eye %26amp; then put

    eye shadow on over that
use your black soft eyeliner prior to your shadow, then blend the eyeliner with shadow...it worked for me;)
I USE MAC ';PAINTS'; IN BARE CANVAS!! APPLY A SMALL AMOUNT BEFORE APPLYING EYESHADOW, IT MAKES YOUR COLOR STAND OUT LAST LONGER. THEY ALSO HAVE THEM IN ';COLORS'; THAT COULD ACCENT YOUR EYESHADOW MORE

if you can use it wet, then go ahead, it will intensify the pigment.
Apply the shadow with a damp eye shadow brush (either toner, witch hazel or water will do.) Automatically makes the shadow darker... and easier to apply as well.

Is this the right way to apply eyeshadow??

I look in the mirror, kind of down so my eyes are ';half lidded'; and just swipe it over th eyelid. I have a weird thing about my eyes, and this is the most I can do.

I'm afraid of looking stupid though. I don't want it to be too high up or anything... (I'm 17 and this is the first I've ever gotten into makeup because now my hair is so short, I don't want to look like a boy.)

I am too embarassed to go to a real person for advice. (I always feel embarassed when people see me buying or even interested in makeup.)

Also, what is a good lipstick that isn't going to rub onto everything I eat or drink? I am VERY white and I don't want it bright or anything... just a subtle look....

hello my eyeshadow advice for you is if you dont like to wear it go real unnoticable somthing nuetral with alittle shine. and sweep across your lid and feather to your eye lid.

I put a light color on my lid and a even lighter color up by my eye brow and dark brown in the crease and blend together. as or lipstick I would choos a gloss you can get clear
go to the m-a-c counter at macy's they give free eye demos
Usually eyeshadow is used with 3 different colors and are not always in the same color family. Most people like to have the medium color over the lid then the darkest in the crease and lightest on top. But it never worked for me. I like to put the darkest color along the lash line or in the corner of the eye that is closest to the nose. Also the shadow should not only go up past the eye crease but off to the side of the eye, almost draw a line to the tip of your eyebrow. I included pictures that should give you ideas on how the shadow should look and some unique color palettes.

    http://www.hobbycastle.com/sadiemc/eotdp…
There is nothing wrong with asking for advice- we all learned this at one point in our life. What you are doing sounds right, the illuminator is like a highlighter, it is to use just below the eyebrows to accentuate the other shadow and make it stand out. Usually it would be a light color or a pearly looking one. If you have a set of 2-3 colors, the way to use it is: use the medium one on the eyelid, then blend the darkest one over in the crease (use a brush to blend really well) and then the lightest (illuminator) above all the rest to accentuate your eyes. As for lips, I suggest gloss- one that I own and looks really good on most skin tones is from Cover Girl Wetslicks “Pink Sequin” cost about $5. Generally cool colors will make your teeth look whiter, stay away from browns and corals. If you have an Ulta store in your area go there- the people working there are very helpful and will assist you with picking the products and colors. Good luck!
I LOVE makeup!!! I have always been in beauty pageants and I have learned a lot about dos and donts. You need to get one of the eye shadow packs that have the dark, mediam, and white colors.1st: You put the mediam color everywhere except the top(right under your eyebrows) 2nd: You put the dark color back and forth across the crease and bone of your eye. 3rd: You use the white and put it right under your eyebrows were they go up. It looks very pretty I ALWAYS get compliments on my eyeshadow. Make sure its really sparkly that makes it looks even better. I have dark circles, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer -- How should I apply them? Tips?

I'm 14 and I have serious dark circles. I sleep well and all that, but they don't seem to go away. I'm tired of stressing out over them, so I don't want tips on helping get rid of them.

I want good all-over eye makeup ideas.

    Eyeliner, mascara, concealer, eyeshadow.

I have nice eyes, but I feel like these dark circles ruin them.

I love eye makeup, so I need good tips.

I have blue/green eyes.I have dark circles, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer -- How should I apply them? Tips?
Yeah, nothing much gets rid of them, they may be inherited, or they may be caused by allergies.

Use your concealer after you moisturize and before you use a foundation...if you wear a foundation. If you don't use a foundation, you should use a face powder on top of the concealer to ';seal'; it otherwise your eyeliner and mascara will smudge during the day because the concealer has oils in it which will break down your eye makeup.

I put my concealer all over my eyelid to use as a base for my eyeshadow. I have green eyes and find that the best color eyeshadows for me are in the pink and purple shades. They bring out the color of my eyes best.

I read a great eyeliner tip the other day: draw a thin line starting at your inner eye, as you reach the middle of your eye thicken the line. This makes your eyes look bigger. Check out photos of Angelina Jolie, she does her eyeliner this way. Have fun!I have dark circles, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer -- How should I apply them? Tips?

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

    http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2007/01鈥?/a>
okay to get rid of the dark circles, put 3 dabs of concealer under them and rub it on to get rid of the circles. i also have blue green eyes myself, and a very light purple looks very pretty, or ever a light green or pink looks nice. for eye liner you could use a chocolate color or a dark navyish color. use a peach colored blush and just apply it to the cheek bones up into your eye direction. a clear or soft pink tinted lip gloss would look pretty also. and dont go too heavy on the mascara or youll look weird. just go lightly, enough so that you can have fuller lashes. hope it works!
Avon has an awsome product for dark circles under your eyes. I'm 19 and I use this and anti-wrinkle cream, I want to beat it all BEFORE it even starts to happen. I'm also a workaholic and help take care of a 2 year old, so renew does wonders for me.

First of all, with blue/green eyes STOP USING BLACK!!! I will look up stuff to see what is the best for you, and I will e-mail you, or leave another comment.

I also love eye make-up and have found that if I use a ';base'; first, nude colors show up a lot more and you can tell I have eye shadow on. Get a creamy type of eyeshadow in white, and put that on first. Also, eye liner (top lid only) in a THIN line looks awsome.....I love liquid eye liner. Buy some (felt tip may be easier for you) and spend a night playing with it to get the right pressure and practice practice practice!!! To make a thin line easier, pull on the outer corners of your eyelid to make your lid tight.

    Good luck!!!!
Try to drink more water. Sometimes if you're not eliminating the toxins in your body your skin reflects that. Also, try vitamins, if nothing else, just a daily one.

If you want to just cover it up, use a sponge (you can get them at the dollar store) to apply a liquid foundation. You can then use a powder over that to set it. That will usually work for the day, but you may need to reapply after a few hours (if you go right from school to out with friends, etc). Also-some companies, such as Avon, offer topical (skin cream) remedies for under-eye circles but these can be pricey.

I hope this helped you, Good Luck!
use the concealer first just put some on the dark circles then rub with your finger around the whole bottom area of your eyes. Don't put too much though. I lil bit will be okay cuz if will blend good after 5 min. Then put eyeshadow and then use the mascara. I use a lil blush on my cheeks so the dark circles are don't stand out that much.

    :)
haha you have the same problem as me. I can't get rid of them either, but what I like to do to help is to first exfoliate and moisturize my face (yeah like everyday) and then I put concealer under my eyes, after that I put on a little bit of foundation, and then just a small line of eyeliner under my lower lashes. But what helps the most is not wearing dark eyeshadows, they only make you notice the dark circles even more. try wearing silver, pink, and other light colored eyeshadows.
people that have natural Cat eyes to me are beautiful, but to get a cat eye look you can apply a little bit of darker shading than your skin coler but make sure its just a touch of not a drastic dark from your skin, and stroke up a hint. and use a black mascara and if you have natural long eyelashes that always helps a hint but its sucks for those who have to resort in an eyelash curler or fake eyelashes the little bit of dark shadow and the cat eye look eliminates Dark circles ,,!!!!

well, first of all, you don't want to put on the eyeliner REALLY thick, just a thin line as close to the eye you can get on the bottom. then close one eye and pull lightly at the top of the eye and do a thin line on the top near the lashes. (do this one eye at a time). then apply mascara. but not on the bottom lashes because it looks face and kinda weird. then do your eyeshadow. try shades of goldish-green, and goldish-brown. make it lighter on the top of your eye and darker closer to the bottom. hope this helpsHow can i apply heavy black eyeliner,eyeshadow,%26amp; mascara? How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?

I have tried before and I look like a racoon? What are the best products to use and how do you apply them? How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
I always put a white eyeshadow under my eyebrows, then grey on my eyelids. Afterwards I take a black eyeliner and I line my upper eyelids very thinly. I find if I make the line too thick, it looks very harsh and it makes my eyes look more ';puppyish'; instead of almond-shaped. Then I line the inner rims of my eyes with the black eyeliner. Aftewards I take black eyeshadow and either with an angled eyeliner brush or a wet cottonswab (Q-tip) I draw that triangle on the corner of my eyes. I fill it in with black eyeshadow and then put go over the black eyeliner with the eyeshadow to make it look more softer and the lines less harsh. I then take silver eyeliner and put some in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up. Then I finish with a lot of black mascara on both my top and bottom lashes. Remember when you do a smokey-eye look it is best to keep your lips a light colour - such as nude or light pink, or even just to use clear lipgloss. If you wear a dark or bright colour on your lips and smokey eyes, you will only look like a clown. How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
    Things You鈥檒l Need:

    **Foundation

    **Dark eye shadow

    **Dark eye liner

    **Eyebrow brush or toothbrush

    **Tissue

Step1 Apply foundation to the entire face, including the eyelids and underneath the eyes.

Step2 Swipe a dark brown, black, charcoal or plum eye shadow to your lids using your fingers, starting at the lash line up to the crease. It's easier to smudge the shadow with your finger than maneuvering a shadow brush in such a small area.

Step3 Line the lash line with a dark shade of eyeliner. To make your eyes appear big and beautiful, start at the corner of your eye and stop about 戮 of the way across. Use your fingertip to smudge the line.

    Step4

Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Open the curler then clamp your eyelashes at the base of the lash. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds.

    Step5

Apply 2 coats of mascara. Allow the mascara to dry in between applications. Finish with an extra swipe on the outer corner of each eye to make the outer lashes appear longer and your eyes bigger.

    Step6

Comb your eyebrows. Using an eyebrow groomer or a toothbrush, comb the eyebrows up at the innermost corner then up and out along the thinner area.

    ****Tips %26amp; Warnings

    Fold a tissue in half and hold it under your eye to prevent eye shadow from sprinkling below the eye and causing ';raccoon eyes.';
A smokey eye can be tricky and can be easily mistaken for looking racoon-ish. MY fav is MAC cosmetics. I find that my best make up looks can be accomplished through MAC but you use what is comfortable and familiar to you.

For me, my eyes are naturally brown so to do the ';smokey'; look it does not take much and if i do it too dark it closes up my eyes...here are the colours i use and how i use them...

    I use 2 specific colours:

MAC: Shadowy Lady (matte), Shale (satin) %26amp; Phloof! (frost)

I start with the Phloof: this is a neutral and light colour and i put it all over the eyelid and the brow bone. I use this first as a base and work up the other colours. I use a large shadow brush for all over application.

With a stiff crease defining brush i start to lightly build up my dark colour Shadowy Lady. I put this mainly in the crease and work it out towards the brow bone. I layer it usually so that i can control how dark i have it. Also, if you start dark it is difficult to chage the look without taking everything off and starting from the beginning.

I then apply my last colour Shale all over the rest of the lid with a small shadow brush.

I go over with the shadowy lady again to define in the crease and i take a fluffy blending shadow brush to blend it evenly and softly out. I will touch up the brow bone with alittle Phloof! at the end.

Finally, I take a fine line eyeliner brush and apply the Shadowy Lady as a liner under and above my eye. This adds the dramatic look. If you feel you want to go even more dramatic line a dark blue or black eyeliner FIRST then set it wit the shadow liner. Use a pencil or shadow smudger if you want to and smudge softly to the outer corners of your eyes. Put on a black or soft black mascara, and if need be clean up any fallen shadow under your eye with powder foundation or fluff it off with a blush brush.

    I hope this helps.
Try MAC makeup, use their black eyeshadow or I use graphite paint. It looks really cool and its really pretty. You can't go wrong with MAC. Its trendy and sophisticated. They also show how to apply eyeshadow to make smokey eyes on their website. Check it out
or you can go to any make up counter and they can help you pick out the right shades.

i personally use eye liner and eyeshadow to create the smokey look. the eyeshadow is what gives you the smokey look tho
if you go to sephora, they can show you what colors look best on your skin, how to apply it, and what products to use. :)
yeah u use a smokey pencil eye liner aand darker shades of shadow.....and smudge the liner into the shadow but not completely though..

What eyeshadow colour should i use for my wedding and how to apply ?

I have light blond hair, with a light/sl tanned complexion. I have green/grey eyes - i normally wear brown any suggestions ???? also how should i apply it ? double colours - etcWhat eyeshadow colour should i use for my wedding and how to apply ?
use rose colours along with like a fawny brown. use the rose colours on your lid and just above use the fawny brown on the socket bone. Also i use a shimmery highlighter on the inner cornor of you eyes and on the brow bone. As you have light coloured hair use brown mascarer and any eye liners so its softer and not as harsh as black would be.

keep it natural and use bronzers and clear lipgloss but dont use greys or dull or cold colours as it will make you look washed out so keep to warm colours

good luck and have a nice wedding xWhat eyeshadow colour should i use for my wedding and how to apply ?
I would go as natural as possible, with more focus on the eyelashes. neutral colors can't go wrong. You just want to enhance how beautiful you naturally are. It also depends on what skin color you have, if there is green, blue, pink, red or yellow in it. Vanilla colored eyeshadow and brown to outline are natural and pretty on everyone. When i said more focus on eyelashes, i mean falsies if you can. Long, curled eyelashes make anyones eyes big and beautiful.

    i hope i helped a little!
Brown is always the safest bet when it comes to weddings. It enhances natural beauty letting YOU shine through. So instead of people saying ';Wow, your make up looks great!'; they say ';Wow, you look amazing';! Also, brown is a neutral shade that looks best in photos... therefore it will never clash with your surroundings.

If you want to spice it up for your wedding.. consider using brown with golden undertones or subtle satin finishes and you can even find some with very subtle green flecks that will enhance your eyes. Stay away from frosts anything that will reflect lots of light - looks terrible in photos.

If you have one close by, go to the MAC cosmetic counter, they can show you how to use different shades and techniques that you can then practice at home.
Well, it depends on the dress. If it is a light color dress, go with a mid-shaded color. If it is a dark- color dress, go with a dark- shaded color. If it is white, go with a light-shaded color. I recomend peach colored shadow for light- colored dresses. You can balance out your dress for when you walk up the aisle. But when you apply, start with the dark, colored shadow, then apply a light shade.

Light Dress: Mid Shaded and Light Shaded

Dark Dress: Mid Shaded and Dark Shaded
i would wear very little eyeshadow, with mascara and some lip gloss, go for the natural look as this will bring out the features on your face better,i personally would practice with different looks before the big day and see which one you are happiest with

good luck on your special day xxxx
it's your wedding! - splash out!! - get a makeup artist to do it! or at least get a consultation! they'll be able to tell you exactly what's right!!

or go to a cosmetics store that has people doing women's make up for free, and ask them! they are there to promote their company's products and should give you advice!

    good luck!
try looking through the maybelline line with the four colors. they all go well together. i'd think something with a gray-brown and green would look good? just because blue can look trampy and you still want your eyes to pop :)

    best wishes on the marriage!
I thnk you should apply a bronzer to your cheeks, maybe twice, depending on how much you like it. i think that it would highlight your complextion

    hope i helped :]

  • What are the best colours of eyeshadow and blusher to wear to school?and how to apply?

Im 14 and just need a bit of advice on how to apply make-up to school without overdoing it.What are the best colours of eyeshadow and blusher to wear to school?and how to apply?
it depends on the color of your skin.

if you have really light skin, you should try a light pink blush on your cheeks. don't go any darker or else it'll look blotchy.

for eye liner, maybe dark brown to black.

cream color and mix of brown eye shadow is always nice on everyone. What are the best colours of eyeshadow and blusher to wear to school?and how to apply?
To keep it neutral for school, I use browns and golds. But often brighten it up a bit with a pink blusher.

To apply the eyeshadow, put the lightest colour in the inside of your top eyelid and gradually darken the colour as you reach the outside of the top eyelid. It'll look natural and make your eyes look bigger :)

With the blusher, swoop a blusher brush over the blusher then starting at the corner of your mouth, tick upwards till you reach your ear.

    Hope I helped :)
just remember to keep it simple! maybe a bit of foundation and blusher and a creamy colour eyeshadow and maybe a peachy lip!

hope ive helped ! xx =D
well that depends on your favourite colour, skin colour, the type of school and the type of make up but my advice, put a little lip stick or lip gloss, apply a little eyeshadow,

and for your advice on the question, light red or either pink or rose
you should match your skin tone with the colors that blend most! if you want eyeshadow do something small like pick a dark and neutral shade then put the neutral shade from you lash line to your eyebrow the lightly line your lash line with the darker shade.
go nude with the browns and creams etc., that's definitely not overdoing it and it will enhance your natural beauty.
It all depends on the color of yur eyes and ur skin tone!

Go to make-up counter at Shoppers or walgreens and ask them what they think
Go with nude, light colors and you would always go to YouTube.com cause people make videos on how to apply makeup :))))

How do you apply makeup to look like the people in magazines eyeshadow mainly how do you wear eyeliner?

is it better to wear eyeliner on the top and bottomHow do you apply makeup to look like the people in magazines eyeshadow mainly how do you wear eyeliner?
Eyeliner can be one of the trickiest things to use, but when applied properly the effects can be amazing. Most people use an eyeliner pencil because they think is will be easier, but with a bit of practice, liquid eyeliner can be used successfully too, so that either way you end up with a nice straight line.

    Eyeliner Application

Before you begin applying the eyeliner, there are a few things you should do; firstly, apply any other eye makeup you want to use before adding eye liner and mascara. It may also be helpful if you remove dangly bracelets and watches as they can often get in the way or just become irritating distractions. Make sure you have a good mirror and lighting so that you can properly see what you are doing when using the eyeliner.

    Eyeliner Pencil

    1. The eyeliner pencil should be able to draw a thin, unbroken line along your skin - test it on your hand or arm first. Either sharpen it until the line is thin enough, or if it is too thin, draw a line on a tissue, which will make the tip blunter.

    2. You should hold the eyeliner pencil as you would hold a pencil or pen to write with, usually with your dominant hand. Use your other hand to stretch the eye you are going to line from the outer corner. You can rest your hand holding the pencil against the hand pulling your lid taut.

    3. Don't try to focus on your whole eye lid at one time - just look at the part you are drawing on. The line should be just above your eye lashes on the top lid and just below on the bottom, and should extend just to the outer corner of your eye.

    4. Be wary if your eyeliner pencil tip is quite dry, as this may pull at delicate eye tissue. Draw the line with care if this is the case.

    Liquid Eyeliner

    1. Liquid eyeliner comes in a bottle rather like ink, and you must use a separate brush to apply. The best result will come from a point liner brush.

    2. It is natural to close your eye as you draw the line, but if you keep it open, it will actually make it easier to follow the curve of your lid and thus have a straighter line.

    3. You do not need to try and paint a continuous line with liquid eyeliner. It is actually easier to pain a few small dashes onto the lash line, eg. Inner corner, middle and outer corner, then go back and connect them.

    4. If you want a thicker line than this initial thin one, build it up gradually. Start at the middle of the lash line and draw towards the outer corner. You can extend the line slightly past the outer corner of your eyelid if you wish.

    Common Eyeliner Mistakes:

If you do make a mistake while applying liner in either pencil or liquid form, then it is easily corrected - just keep some eye makeup remover close to hand, and gently dab at the area you wish to remove with a small amount on the end.How do you apply makeup to look like the people in magazines eyeshadow mainly how do you wear eyeliner?

eyeliner from centre to outside on top lid and just lesson the bottom. if you have quite Small eyes where it under your eyelashes on the bottom. unless you have dark skin don't use black. I am dark blond and I use dark brown or grey. blend the edges in too, makes it look better. As for eyeshadow, cover the whole area underneath your eyebrow in a light shade, nothing too noticeable just to lift the area. then apply your chosen colour over it but don't go above the crease above you're eye. If you go to a beauty counter they sometimes teach, I used to work for the body shop, try one of their shops, they are very good.
Go to http://www.marykay.com/daryn_anderson and click on Application Tips. Select eye apllication and then choose the set of eyes that best match yours. It will give you step by step instructions on how to apply it. I use eyeliner in both places, but only to make my eyes stand out more.
go to the mall and ask a make up counter girl and ask if she could show you (sorry i cant tell you but it's kindof hard to explain)

I have hazel eyes and need advise on color's and ways to apply my eyeshadow for best looking pictures? HELP!

I'm standing up in my friends wedding and my dress is an Aqua blue...I have hazel eyes and need advise on color's and ways to apply my eyeshadow for best looking pictures? HELP!
I have hazel eyes and i wear (during the day) frosty brown and neutral colors. Dark greens would make your eyes ';pop'; and look beautiful. Never wear blue. the way to apply eye shadow is go across your whole lid up to your eyebrow with a natural or pink color as a base. Start with your color at the crease towards your nose and blend the color on moving out towards the end of your eyebrow. Then you can use a lighter color...beige, neutral or light pinks just under your eyebrow for highlight effect. This will make your eyes look brighter. As a final, use a light color and sweep over entire eye lid for a polished look. The key is to BLEND. I know you'll look beautifulI have hazel eyes and need advise on color's and ways to apply my eyeshadow for best looking pictures? HELP!
First of all you should always apply a neutral coat of nude on your upper lid and blend it in with your brow bone. Then you should apply a thin layer of black eyeliner on your upper lid. The latest look is to add glitter on your upper lid and to leave half of the lower lid kohl-less (from the middle to the end there should be kohl) if you want you can also add a turqoise on your brow bone(only the end and only if you have sharp features) hope i was of some assistance....i wore a bottle green dress for my birthday and i used silver eyeshaddow and a line of black kohl with glitter
Depends on what your coloring is. If you have dark brown hair and more of a olive or tan skin coloring then yeah you might be able to get away with blue eyeshadow list above or even grey. However if your like me with fair skin and more of a light auburn then you can never ever wear blue makeup with hazel eyes- go with the standard-nudes, browns or light green
I don't have a good link so I'm going to tell you...... I find that purples, pinks, golds, browns and sometimes white, look really good and make your eyes pop. I get the most compliments when I use purple though for some reason. use a light shade of purple [a light light lavender colour and put the colour right below your eyebrows and your eyes will look poppy. Lol

Hope I helped! I do have a link though even though it's not that good so here you go!

    How do you apply eyeshadow,?
    honestly depends on your skincolor,

but i find that a soft, bright blue works pretty well on most people. neutrals of course are always pretty. shimmers will always look fairly nice, depending on skin color.

stay away from reds/pinks, unless you are super ghostly pale, you'll look like you're crying.

apply it to the corners and blend inwards along the lashline, for a softer, gentler look. darken the color and sweep it into your crease (eye socket line) as well as the lash line for a more dramatic look.

    always remember to blend well.

good luck and don't hesitate to ask more. %26lt;3

Tips on Eye makeup / Smokey eyes

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.comHow do i apply eyeshadow the right way?lol!!!!!!?
It goes own Best with a brush. Most of the time you will have to purchase the brush separately, unless it a more expensive brand. Start at the inside corner of you eye and brush in short sweeping strokes. While applying, slightly tilt your head back and lightly hold a folded tissue under your eyes to avoid any powder from falling onto your cheek. Powder is a more natural looking eyeshadow, especially if you are above a certain age. Try it, you will notice a difference. Hope this helps!

    Good Luck
yes, throw out those spongy applicators...they just make a mess. Use a brush like that other girl said, but tap it first before applying the powder shadow, then it won't go on so heavy and fall all over your face, although the tissue should catch that.
there is no real right way to apply eyeshadow.....it depends on what shape your eyes are and how high your eyebrows are. try to cover the lid of your eye, and a little bit above it, with one sweeping stroke.put a little bit underneath on ur bottom lit to even things up....but not so much that you look like a clown lol!

I bought an eyeshadow quad. How and where on the eyelid do I apply the ';contour'; color?

The other colors are for all over the lid, the crease and the brow bone. Any help would be appreciated.I bought an eyeshadow quad. How and where on the eyelid do I apply the ';contour'; color?
The contour color is meant for the part of your eye that is the crease and blend it down into your lid and outer corner. Use the contour shade from around the middle of your eye and to the outer corner. It simply adds definition to your eye.

You can also use it as a darker shade by itself or as a liner.I bought an eyeshadow quad. How and where on the eyelid do I apply the ';contour'; color?
The contour color can be applied to darker your outer corner(right where the crease starts) and to define your outer v don't really know how to explain that sorry :\

But just in case you don't know:

    Lid: well lid

    Crease: Your eye socket

    Brow Bone: Right under brow
I use mine like a sort of liner shadow, with a little extra at the outside edge, curving down under the lower lashes and like liner again on the bottom lid.

I hate when that happens. Before I put eyeshadow on, i just grab like a little piece of toilet paper and then hold on and under my eye while I apply the eyeshadow. It works for me.
its easy when you apply loose eyeshadow...then when yor done you can wipe off the powder
wait to put on your under eye concealer until after you put on your eye makeup, that way you can wipe off the eyeshadow and put on your concealer :D
Neutrogena makes a correction stick for this.

also, do your eye makeup first. then do the rest of your face so you don't have to worry
i hate when that happens!! what i do is that i use my kabuki brush and it goes away... you can also use a light powder under your eyes. i saw that on the tyra bank show
You can use a fan brush to get rid of the shadow, but if there's some glitter you can use a Q-TIP with some Vaseline on it and it should come off really easily.
its called fallout. all you need is some translucent powder and a blush brush .. kabuki.. something big and fluffy and just dust it off. simple as that :D
Put your face makeup on after your eye makeup. OR buy a fan brush...they wipe away fall out from eyeshadow and fix mascara crumps also!
Before, like when you are putting on you concler, pat some on your eye lids, that will make your eyeshadow stay in place. but for the pesky few specks that don't lightly rub off and wipe a white powder (eyeshadow works just as well) under neath. it will blend in and make you look younger.

mix it with another darker color and then apply it -- kind of like you would mix paint before putting it on a painting.
put eye liner in the crease(fold of eye lid) of the eye %26amp; then put

    eye shadow on over that
use your black soft eyeliner prior to your shadow, then blend the eyeliner with shadow...it worked for me;)

I am too embarassed to go to a real person for advice. (I always feel embarassed when people see me buying or even interested in makeup.)

Also, what is a good lipstick that isn't going to rub onto everything I eat or drink? I am VERY white and I don't want it bright or anything... just a subtle look....

    My picture is here... www.myspace.com/rhea_peea

The profile is private but you can see the pic. I need to not look like such a boy!

hello my eyeshadow advice for you is if you dont like to wear it go real unnoticable somthing nuetral with alittle shine. and sweep across your lid and feather to your eye lid.

Tips?
What about smokey eyes? May be not for everyday though..

(do this one eye at a time). then apply mascara. but not on the bottom lashes because it looks face and kinda weird. then do your eyeshadow. try shades of goldish-green, and goldish-brown. make it lighter on the top of your eye and darker closer to the bottom. hope this helpsHow can i apply heavy black eyeliner,eyeshadow,%26amp; mascara? i need some help + i have blue eyes + what color of eyeshadow to useHow to apply eye liner (plz no videos or websites) + what color eyeshadow should i use?
since you are asking how to apply eyeliner, i'm guessing you are pretty young, so i am going to assume you don't want extreme makeup. i'd say wear greyish eyeliner. if you apply top eyeliner, close your eyes, hold your lashes, and start from the end opposite your nose and work your way in, tracing your lash line. for the bottom liner, start from the end opposite your nose (again) and work your way in, skimming your lashes, and stop halfway. if you don't typically wear a lot of makeup, just do the bottom. and for the top, i have blue eyes too, i would use a goldish color, try maui wowie from urban decay (at sephora). hope i helped! How to apply eye liner (plz no videos or websites) + what color eyeshadow should i use?
I think a dark brown eyeliner pencil would be good for you. And, maybe a coloured pencil in an green/teal colour to highlight the upper lash line/lid.
well hair and skin color might help, my friend has tan skin and is a blonde with blue eyes, she gets a real dark BLUE eye liner and smudges it around her eyes, i would go w/ black, gray, plum, dark green or dark brown (blue, green, and plum are if you really want to stand out, i have electric green eyes and i use dark green once in a while, looks cool and crazy)

    Perfect/Best way to apply eyeshadow?

The first step of applying eyeshadow is to apply a light color over your entire eye lid from lash line to brow. Use a large flat eyeshadow brush. Always use good quality brushes.

The second step is to apply a medium shadow color on your lower lid from lash line to the crease of your eye. Use a fluff brush.

The third step is to use your darkest color as a liner and apply along your lash line. To insure shadow will not flake, dampen your eyeliner brush before applying shadow. This will make it last longer.

Once your foundation is on, gradually apply lighter shades first, slowly working up to your final color. An important fact to remember is, use colors that blend together naturally. It's not where you place the colors: it's that they work together and blend together invisibly.

TIP: You do not want this to look like three separate colors.Perfect/Best way to apply eyeshadow?
use an eye brush (don't know what it's really called) it's a small bristle brush, i love mine, i don't use the ones that come with eyeshadow anymore, the brush leaves a less ';dramatic'; look and you can control the strokes betterPerfect/Best way to apply eyeshadow?
Brown eye shadow is the best a lil darker than

your skin then it look perfect then add shimmery

brown crushed eye shadow over it so it looks

like brown shimmer in ur eyes then it'll be perfect

try it!!! it work i put it on my friend %26amp; she used it alot now
Buy the 3 pack eyeshadows. The lightest colour goes on first. The medium colour goes just over your eye lid. The darkest colour goes in the crease. A lip brush works well to put on thin.
apply a base first to make it last longer, then it depends what you wanna do, usually apply the ligher coat first and then darker but the dark coat not on the whole eyelid
Dab some concealer on your lids to make the eyeshadow last longer. Then apply a base color (usually a light color) over your lids and up to your brow bone. Then, apply an accent or darker color over the outer half of your lids. Use an eye brush to blend where the two colors meet. After the colors are blended, use the brush and sweep up and away from your lids to create a shadow effect. This technique will help add depth to your eyes.
the best way is to start with the base which is the lightest then you would put on the color of your choice on you eyelids and then in the crease of your eye you would make it darker or use another color. I wear browns and put a nude skin color or white lightly on my lid and up to my brow then I put a darker skin tone or brown in the crease and a little above it and i do use a shadow brush to do all this. then i use a dark brown and put that in the crease. it looks and you can use any color. some days you may just want the base coat on. or just a little on the lids. also when I go out i put shadow under my eyes and blend it up to the corners to meet the eyeshadow on my lids. the smokey look. there are so many ways. you will find some in magazines. i hope i helped.
First, prime the eyelids by dusting them with a small amount of loose powder. Next, select a light base shadow. Using a shadow brush, sweep it across your entire lid, from brow to lash line. Use a medium-toned shade to cover your lower lids.

Contour the crease of your eyelid with a dark shade, using a smaller eye shadow brush. This color can also work as an eyeliner. Blend shadow by stroking the lid gently with an eye shadow brush. Don't use your finger'you could wipe off the shadow entirely. Use a cosmetic puff and a little pressed powder to tone down heavy shadow. Shake any excess powder off the puff, then press it gently on your lid.

Eye Shadow to Line the Eyes

Choose a medium or dark shadow color to line your eyes. Use a small, flat, angled brush for the application. Stroke the brush over the eye shadow. Start at the inside edge of your upper lid. Angle the brush so that the longest tip follows the shorter end as the brush moves across your lash line. Bring the brush to the outer corner of the eye. Create a more dramatic line by wetting the brush before stroking it through the shadow. Mist a small amount of water onto the brush, or dab it into a few drops of water and proceed with the line. The shadow may feel wet as you draw your line, but it will dry quickly.

PS: Don't share eye makeup or tools'you can unknowingly transfer eye infections such as pinkeye (conjunctivitis).

If you get shadow in your eyes, flush them gently with tepid water.
i like using make up brushes
try using your lids as a pallet.

Put darker colors in the top crease of your eye lid

.. this brings out your eyes, and helps people notice them

then put lighter colors below the crease.
Apply sheer color with fingertips. Darker color--get a natural hair flat shadow brush.

If I want to use both a eyeliner and eyeshadow, which one should I apply on first ?

What color eye-shadow do you recommend for me ?....( I have a white skin and a small face). I want to do 3 shades.

What color lipstick and lipliner is good for me to use ?If I want to use both a eyeliner and eyeshadow, which one should I apply on first ?
you put eyeshadow on (i recomend MAC... the have the highest viarety of colors and it is soo amazing.. i absolutly love it!) so you would put the lightest shade of the color on the entire eye... then a medium color from your eyelashes to your crease and a dark color on the crease.. make sure to blend in together nicely.. it will look as if the colors were fading again (i use the slanted brush) then i would put the eyeliner linly against the eyelashes and on the lower lid.. and then mascara... if you are doign a dark color.. use a light color... such as light pinks... light brown colors.. clear... and if you use a light color on your eyes.. you can use a darker color on your lips.. NEVER two of the same!! hmm a color i like is ';oh Baby'; by MAC or Honeydue by beauty rush (victoria secret)... Best Luck!!!

P.S. i would recommend to use purple shades for the eyeshadow.. it looks amazing...If I want to use both a eyeliner and eyeshadow, which one should I apply on first ?
    shadow then eyeliner.

i white skin suits all colours. especially dark colours. spring pattlets suits you too.

if you want tree shades. you can try this example light yellow from your eyes to your brows. light green from your eye to the eye ball part. and dark green 3/4 or your eye ball. use a brush and blend in slowly.

    i think nude suits you.
i have always put my eyeliner on last
You do not need to use both, in fact if you dip your eyeshadow applicator in water, you get a deeper color. I like to let it dry and then gently smudge the line to create a more natrual look. I brush a beige color over my lids first and just under the brow line. Lipliner is a huge waste of money. I like to touch my fave color on the center of my bottom lip ond some just around the upper bumps. Use a nice gloss over the top. Try to use as little as you can to appear fresh and not all made up.
Do u have double or single eyelids? If you have single eyelids, choose lighter eyeshadow colours.

Like me, I have single lids, so I prefer a light pink, cream, baby blue or lilac. Cream goes with anything u wear. Dark colours make me look like a racoon. Black eyeliner makes the eyes look bigger. And one colour is the easiest... 3 colours doesn't look for single eyelids. It is difficult for double eyelids unless u know how to do it.

Always use the eyeshadow b4 eyeliner... If u do it the other way, the eyeshadow will cover up the eyeliner n it won't look good.

If you want you eye shadow to stand out n stay on longer... use a crayon eyeshadow first (white colour, you can get them at faceshop or missha), then apply powder eyeshadow (any colour you like) over it... it will look very natural, smooth n lasting too. NOTE: Do not apply a big patch of eyeshadow, just a line of shadow slightly thicker than your eyeliner.

Basically if you are fair, you can use any colour. You would still look good.. Pink shades are best for lippy.
Ok! Black on the outside and top(ish); light on the inside. http://www.nzgirl.co.nz/images/articles/… (Except without so much cateye) Add a little gloss to it... or not. Either is fine. 3 colours: you'll be using a light colour for your eyelids, a darker colour for the crease, and an even darker colour for the top and sides. You definitely want to go black for the outside part to make your eyelashes look full. Match that with a gray, maybe, on your crease. I wouldn't exactly go for WHITE on your lids, just nude.

You could always use browns or purples. I'm not much of a fan for blue, but you could try that. Even pinks would work.

If you go all out on your eyes, don't use lipstick of too much colour. Go for something natural or close to nude. It depends on what colour lips to go with if you don't do much with the eyes. If your eyes are slightly pink(the eyeshadow ..of course), go with a pretty pink on your lips. If your eyes are a bit brown, put on some deep brown lipstick. I have no idea how old you are, what you're looking for, or how much make up you're willing to put on, though...
Use browns and tans. Put that on first. Then brown eyeliner. Maybe try a peach lip color with an apricot liner. Use just a dusting of peachy color blush and some black mascara, and you will look beautiful!
First use the eyeliner because it's more possible to make a mistake while you are applying it and then put the eyeshadow.Use pale rose lipstick!
Apply eyeshadow first otherwise the eyeliner will look powdery. I have similar looks to you and a sparkly brown looks good, bright colours always look disgusting. A deep red lipstick works well, be careful if you use bright red, sometimes it can look a little strange. Lip liner i feel is really overdoing it, i've never liked the look of it, it looks so fake.
eyeshawdow first tahn eyeliner, to avoid eyeliners to smudge on covered with powders. use lipbalm or lip gloss is better, atleast for me it is.
Well it really depends if your skin is really pale or you have a tan, my skin is really pale I wear pink eyeshadow with green eyeliner. Thats just my preference. You can really wear any color you like as long as it goes with your skin tone, with pale skin you should stick to reds and berries for your lips dont go too dark, like black lipstick would just gross. Well hoped I helped!

Your should put on your Eyeshadow before your eyeliner. :D
hi, firstly it goes on your hair colour.

you put eyeshadow on beofre eyeliner though. thats simple enough.

As for colour, universal colours are gold, lilac and neutral. as for eye liner, black eyeliner is great for impact on your eyes (then you dont use anything on the lips).

keep it very simple, if your making your eyes the focal point on your face, dont use lipstick, if you do neutral eyes, then put red or something drastic on your lips. but never the same time!
Firstly I always apply eye-liner first because if you put it on after eye-shadow you are drawing onto makeup and not skin so it wont last as long and the colour wont be as dramatic.

I never recommend lip-liner, about 98 per cent of people do it wrong, you are supposed to choose a colour based on the colour of your lips and not based on the colour of your lipstick. But really, who notices that you are even wearing it. I think it is difficult to do, very easy to make it look bad and an added expense you dont need.

As for colours, this one is difficult to recommend as I dont know your personality or particular style and I havent seen your face. I often match the colours in my make-up to what I am wearing or based on the seasons. And usually I dont wear both eye-shadow and lipstick unless I am going out of an evening.

I suggest for colours you go to a make up counter and ask one of the girls to make you up and suggest colour combinations.
i would apply shadow first so that it does not cover the liner
eyeliner goes on first. Maybe cooler colours might be good for you with light skin.
    eyeliner comes first

    How do you apply eyeshadow,?

    please go in detail,

i'm tired of eyeliner, but i want to wear eyeshadow now,

it's alot easier to put in the mornings for school, and faster,

please mention some pretty colors, or something.

thank you.How do you apply eyeshadow,?
    honestly depends on your skincolor,

but i find that a soft, bright blue works pretty well on most people. neutrals of course are always pretty. shimmers will always look fairly nice, depending on skin color.

stay away from reds/pinks, unless you are super ghostly pale, you'll look like you're crying.

apply it to the corners and blend inwards along the lashline, for a softer, gentler look. darken the color and sweep it into your crease (eye socket line) as well as the lash line for a more dramatic look.

    always remember to blend well.

good luck and don't hesitate to ask more. %26lt;3How do you apply eyeshadow,?

I use mine like a sort of liner shadow, with a little extra at the outside edge, curving down under the lower lashes and like liner again on the bottom lid.
hmm, just do what ur mind tells u

    How do i apply eyeshadow?

How do i apply eyeshadow under my eye like near the bottom part of my eye under the bottom lid and my eyelashesHow do i apply eyeshadow?
its easier to apply colored eye liner on the bottom. if you apply a thin line that matches your eye shadow it will look really good. you can also use shimmer eye liner and random colors. but if that does not work for you. you can use a Q-Tip to apply a very thin line of eye shadow. hope that helped (:How do i apply eyeshadow?
a small angled brush would probably work best and then blended with a q-tip. but if you don't want to spend money put the eyeshadow applicator sideways and do it that way.
use a Q-tip and go alone the eyelash line (not in your eye!)
turn your applicator side ways and go across try to do it thin or you could try a light eye liner...Hope i helped!!

Would you use eyeliner, or eyeshadow; and how would you do it?

Any advice is appreciated :)How do you apply eyeliner/eyeshadow like this...?
thats either a dark purple or a dark grey eyeshadow, just apply this kind of color to your eye crease extend out a little to the corner, then take a cutip put some eyeshadow on the tip and trace under ur eye and there you go thats it.How do you apply eyeliner/eyeshadow like this...?
well that looks like eyeliner. I think you would have to use eyeliner for eyeshadow because i dont think eyeshadow would get the color. But go ahead and try both their is nothing to loose.
dip your finger in the eyeshadow and rub it on your eye like a five year old would....
don't do that just put a thin line on the top and bottom lash lines
okay. put on mascara and thick eyeliner or your lashes and below on your bottom lashes. use a navy blue color as your eyeshadow and go a bit above where you're sapposed to end. cuz in the picture the eyeshadow is really high.
It doesn't look like this person is wearing any eyeliner, rather, they are probably using eyeshadow only.

    Tools you'll need:

Navy blue eyeshadow (with high pigment- like MAC)

    Cream eyeshadow

    foundation that matches your skintone

    black mascara

    eyeshadow brush

    eyeliner brush

    What to do:

    (1) Apply the foundation to your eyelid and below your eye as a base

    (2) Apply the cream colored eyeshadow to your brow bone and the inner corner of the eyelids

    (3) Using the eyeshadow brush, apply the navy blue eyeshadow to the entire upper lid and blend it into your crease, slightly extending the eyeshadow past the outer corner of the eye

    (4) Using the eyeliner brush, wet the brush and dip it into the navy blue eyeshadow and apply it in a thick line below your lower lash line. Wet the brush again and dip it into the eyeshadow, then apply the same thick line above your upper lash line, layering the eyeshadow thus.

    (5) Apply several coats of black mascara to both the upper and lower lashes.
eye shadow for the top lids then a thick coat of eye liner. but that is not attractive please go with something more natural.
Not my style. =) u can do it by using the help of line softner. draw first then soften with softner, blend with eyeshadow too so it doesnt looks harsh. =p
