How to apply eyeshadow...?

when you have a duo, triple, or quad of colors in a pack? my mother is always complaining that i dont know how to do it properly. How to apply eyeshadow...?
Duo : apply the lighter shade all over your lid (use a brush and follow the natural shape of your eyeball.) Then apply the darker shade in the creases moving towards the outer area of the eye.

Triple : apply the lightest shade from your lash lines to your brow bone. Apply more toward your brow bone as you want to highlight that area! Then take the other two colors and use it as you would in a duo.

Quad: apply the shadows as you would in a triple starting from the 2nd lightest shade. After you are done, the color that you havent used yet is the LIGHTEST shade. Dip a small wand or use a Q-tip and apply it to your inner corners of your eyes to brighten up your face.

There are a million things you could do! Be creative! For example - the triple colors. You can use the lightest shade all over your lids and apple the second darkest shade in your creases towards outer corners and then take a small brush dipped in water and dip it in the darkest shade and use it as an eyeliner to line your top lid. You can create monochromatic looks!

Good luck!How to apply eyeshadow...?
Line ur top lids with the darkest shade, and then put the medium shade on your lids up to ur crease. Put the lighest on te bottom of ur eyelid, and below the eyebrows. Dab a little of the lightest one by ur tearduct.
the middle colors or warm colors go on the lid, the darkest ones in the crease, the lights or whites go ver gently on the brow to highlight. I always buy eyeshadow brushes instead of the little cheap sponge applicators that come with the compact. As long as it looks good on you you can wear it however and your mom should show u how to put it on if it bothers her so much.
As far as Trio colors I apply the light color to the entire eye lid from the lash line to the brow. The middle color goes on the eye lid and the darker color you apply in the ridge of the eye lid. If you want also you can apply some of the middle or lighter color under your bottom eye lashline. Then I take my eyeliner and apply it as normal and add mascara. Viola!!

Good luck and have a great time trying this tip
1) pick a color section

2) start at the corner closest to your eye and close ur eye

3)put it on

4) continuie untill you think its dark enough

5)go all the way up as far as you want ( i like it jus above the crease of my eye)

or ask ur mom since shes the one complaning (lol)
Whether it's a dramatic smoky eye or natural look I usually recommend at least 3 colors of shadow that complements each other. The reason for this is because you need to blend the colors so that there are no lines of demarcation.

Basically the darkest shadow is applied at the lashline. The medium shade is applied from lash to the crease. The lightest shade which is usually called a highlighter is placed on the brow bone to the crease. Take a clean fluffy brush and blend in the crease using a windshield wiper motion. This blends the medium shade and highlighter. If you want to get fancy you can apply a little of the darker shade in the crease to contour the eye too. But the secret is to blend blend blend. Hope this helps
ok with a duo i apllly the lightest color all over then the darkest on my lid

triple i apply lightest color all over then the next lightest color up to the brow bone and the darkest color on the lid and on the bottom lashes

with the quad i apply it just like the triple but i take the lightest color and apply it to the coner of my eyes

Good lucj : )
i just learned at MAC yesterday

first you put a beige color on your whole lid that keeps your makeup from fading or creasing.

then you put a light whitish one just under your browbut not all the way in

then you put on a neutral one on the crease %26amp; up to the light white area. then you use a small fluffy brush to blend it in so it doesnt look weird

then you apply whatever fun color you want on your lid up to the neutral tone %26amp; use the fluffy brush to blend a little

then put a dark reddish purple in the outer corner %26amp; use a fluffy brush to blend it, in small circle motion

my eyes looked amazing %26amp; then i went home %26amp; did it %26amp; its really not hard at all!

Look up ';how to apply eye shadow'; on google, and there's tons of different websites with guides and videos to help! Instead of only listening to what people said on yahoo answers, watch a how-to video or look for something with pictures so you know where certain parts are where you put eyeshadow. Also, ask your mom! Good luck! =)
Ok. First, use a light foundation/concealer, or base, and rub it gently on your lids and above your lids, to make your eyes have a flat base. Then on your lids, use any shade you want, and then above the crease, use a slightly lighter color, or a shimmer. Under your eyebrow is where you want to put your lightest color, a highlighter, or a light shimmer. This reflects your eyes, and when you put on mascara, you will see your lashes, because they will end up where your 2nd lightest color begins. This will add depth to your eyes.

HINT* TRICK

Eyeliner---rim your bottom eyes with liner, carefully and not too thick, from the outside to the MIDDLE of your eye only. if you use liner on the outside to the half of your eye, it makes them wider. Using liner under your entire eye can make them look smaller or closed..
