Can anyone tell me how to apply eyeshadow properly, Everytime i try i end up looking like i have been thumped!

first start with a light shimmery color. light creams or pinks are a great start. go from lash line to brow w this. than take another color, a shade darker and put this on your lid. from corner to corner. third take a shade darker color and rub slowly in the crease. (the line when you blink) always always tap your brush/spunge to get rid of excess powder. And BLEND! its easier to add color to your eye than take away. when doin three shades, make sure they are all colors that work well. or in the same family of color. covergirl and all other brands make great color packs in threes. if your using eyeliner, it's best to start off with brown. this is more forgiving than black. i love Rimmel liners, they stay in place well, and blend if you want the smoky look. and for the price you really cant beat it! good luckCan anyone tell me how to apply eyeshadow properly, Everytime i try i end up looking like i have been thumped!

Well, you are probably using a really dark color. which is more challenging to apply, because mistakes are so noticeable. just lightly brush the eyeshadow on from your tear-duct to the outside of your eye (don't get it inside the tear-duct). and keep it on the eyelid; and if you want to put it underneath as well, use a thin brush.
